FLORIDA — The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a death at 623 West Georgia Street. Patrol officers responded to Carter Howell Strong Park at approximately 10:00 a.m. where they located a deceased person in the pond.
TPD investigators from the Violent Crimes and Forensic Units were called in to assume the investigation and process the scene.
The Tallahassee Democrat reported: Distraught family members gathered just outside the crime scene tape said the deceased man had been missing and demanded they be allowed to see his body. Police have not confirmed the man’s identity.
At one point, bystanders began fighting and had to be broken up by police.
