Deputies In Colorado Investigating Threats Against 2 Elementary Schools

EL PASO COUNTY, CO.– On February 27, 2018, the Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a handwritten threat left in the bathroom at Webster Elementary School. This threat was investigated fully by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and was deemed to be a non-credible threat.

On February 28, 2018, at student from Sunrise Elementary was sent a text containing the same verbiage as the note left in the bathroom at Webster Elementary School on February 27, 2018. This was also investigated and a student was charged with Interference of Faculty, Staff and Students of Educational Institutions, which is a Misdemeanor 1. The threat was fully investigated and deemed non-credible.
