Deputies Shot At While Conducting Surveillance On Marijuana Grow Operation

OAKLAND, Calif. –1100 block/28th Street

Sebastian Ledwick, 33, was arrested for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into an occupied vehicle, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Ray Kelly.

3:15 p.m. Wednesday, two plainclothes detectives were conducting surveillance when Ledwick allegedly fired a shot into their unmarked vehicle, causing the deputies to flee the scene.

In addition to apprehending Ledwick, investigators also recovered the handgun believed to have been used in the crime, according to Kelly.

Kelly did not yet know whether Ledwick will also face drug charges in connection with the suspected marijuana grow.

No one was injured in the shooting.
