WASHINGTON — A ‘suspicious package’ was discovered inside the National African American history museum in D.C. Monday afternoon.
The building, located at 14th St and Constitution Ave., was evacuated as a precaution. Police later cleared the item and visitors were allowed to return.
U.S. Park Police say the object in question was found on the second floor—bomb squad officers and a K9 team were on scene.
No injuries were reported.
The Museum is no stranger to police activity, a noose was found in the building several days ago.
