An Amtrak train has derailed in Vermony near the town of Northfield, multiple people are reported as injured.
Officials told WCAX-TV in Burlington the southbound Amtrak passenger train derailed after hitting a rockslide. Part of the train reportedly overturned.
The severity and number of injuries is not yet clear. A massive emergency response is underway.
Witnesses told WCAX it happened near Route 12A and Bull Run Road.
