WASHINGTON — Officials at the Pentagon say at least two pieces of mail sent to the facility tested positive for the deadly poison Ricin.

According to CNN, ‘the mail facility is in a separate building on the grounds of the Pentagon and the piece of mail which tested positive never entered the Pentagon building.’

The letters were addressed to Secretary of Defense James Mattis and the chief of naval operations, Adm. John Richardson.

The Pentagon Force Protection agency, along with the FBI, are investigating the origins of the mail.

A dose of purified ricin powder the size of a few grains of table salt can kill an adult human.
