A small plane travelling from California City, California to Henderson, Nevada disappeared from radar Tuesday evening, according to the FAA.
On Wednesday morning, Civil Air Patrol crews found aircraft wreckage in the Clark Mountain Rang, about 40 miles southwest of Henderson.
It’s unclear if the wreckage is related to the missing plane, the FAA said.

California City is a city incorporated in 1965 in the northern Antelope Valley in Kern County, California.
The population was 14,120 at the 2010 census, up from 8,385 at the 2000 census.
