RICHLAND, Wash. – Police were responding to an active shooting at a grocery store in Richland on Monday. One person is dead and another was taken to a hospital.
Officers have confirmed the shooting took place inside the Fred Meyer store on Wellsian Way.
The suspected shooter, who was seen in surveillance images, remains at large.
The Richland Police Department is seeking information on the identity and location of the pictured suspect and suspect vehicle in relation to a shooting at the Richland Fred Meyer. Multiple schools in the area were placed on lockdown as police searched for the suspect. The ATF is responding to assist in the investigation.
