Los Angeles – Fire officials say a man and a woman were found dead in the water at the bottom of a cliff at a Los Angeles park Monday afternoon.
Officials were called to the scene of Point Fermin Park in the San Pedro community around 5:20 p.m. — the scene is in the 500 block of West Paseo Del Mar.
The Los Angeles Fire Department sent this alert: Cliff Rescue; INC#1104; 05:19PM; 500 W Paseo Del Mar; https://bit.ly/3q7wF6S; San Pedro; LAFD responded to a cliff rescue to find two young adults (one male, one female) deceased. Firefighters are now setting up equipment to retrieve the two deceased victims. LAPD on scene and Coroner notified. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unknown.
The Department only identified the two as “young adults.” It is unclear if they fell or what exactly caused their death.
