Tomball, TX – A young child was killed by her mother at a Harris County park Sunday afternoon, officials say.
According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, deputies responded to Spring Creek Park — located at 15012 Brown Road — and found a 5 or 6-year-old child suffering from apparent stab wounds.
The child was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead, Gonzalez said.
It was unclear if the mother was in custody.
