SEATTLE — Gang Unit detectives are investigating following a shooting that occurred late Wednesday that left two females with non life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene in a black car.

Shortly after 5:00 pm, officers responded to 22nd Avenue and East Pine Street for reports of shots fired. The female victims told officers that they were driving in the 2100 block of East Pine when they pulled over to let another car that was travelling in the opposite direction pass. As the vehicle passed, the suspect driver fired several shots at the victim’s car, striking the two victims. The victim’s vehicle then struck an unoccupied parked car, as the suspect drove off westbound and left the area.

The victims were transported to the hospital where they were treated for their injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
