A drunk Uber passenger has been arrested after he assaulted his driver, stole his car and then crashed it.
Collin Lyle, aged 31, of Oregon became verbally abusive towards his driver and then psychically combative.
The driver then parked at a 7-eleven in Tigard to assist Lyle because his behavior was disrupting his driving.
When the driver ran into the store, Lyle began to drive around in the car.
As police arrived at the scene, they discovered that Lyle had crashed into a curb near his home.
Lyle was then found lying on the roadside beside the car.
He was later charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless endangering and intimidation and DUI.
Lyle was brought into custody at the Washington County Jail.
Police have said they will not released his blood alcohol level but said he was significantly over the legal limit.
Neither Lyle or the driver sustained any injuries.
He is due in court on February 18th.
