FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA – According to the Fairfax County Police Department, an elderly couple, identified as Janos John Gertler, 86, and Eva Anna Vas, 73, was discovered dead inside their Fairfax County home on Tuesday by a friend who contacted the authorities.
Police believe that the couple died as a result of a murder-suicide.
Investigators found cartridge cases and a firearm at the scene, indicating that Gertler likely shot Vas before taking his own life.
The incident occurred at the 8900 block of Walker Street in Fairfax, Virginia.
