At 9:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a welfare check in the 16200 block of Hearthwood Drive, in the Hearthwood Village Mobile Home Park in Clackamas.

The residents of one of the homes in the park had reportedly not been seen for several days, and were not answering the door.

Deputies made entry into the home to check the welfare of the residents and found two people deceased within.

The deceased were both adults, Lance Estler Fisher, 53, and Brenda Jean Roe Schumacher, 49. Both lived in the residence in which their bodies were discovered.

Autopsies by the State Medical Examiner’s Office indicate that the two victims died of homicidal violence, gunshot wounds.

Investigators now consider this case to be a double homicide. The suspect or suspects in this case are currently unknown.
