GEORGIA — The City of Monroe Fire Department (MFD) responded to a 6:05 am structure fire at 417 Shamrock Dr. Sunday.

Fire officials say the home was fully engulfed by flames when Firefighters arrived. MFD and units of the Walton County Fire Rescue (WCFR) located former Miami Dolphin Quentin Omario Moses unconscious and moved him outside where CPR was rendered until he was transported to Clearview Medical Center where he was declared dead.

Firefighters continued to search for other possible victims as they battled the fire. The roof collapsed as the fire was being brought under control. The bodies of 10 year old Jasmine Godard and her mother Andria Godard were recovered from the debris of the fire. MFD, MPD, City and State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
