FLORIDA — Pembroke Pines Police responded to a call for service in reference to a 13 year old deceased Pomeranian canine.

Upon arrival, the canine was located to the rear of the victim’s residence with a handwritten note taped to the canine which read “WE BEAT IT 2 Death lol! (smiley face) HAHAHA!” The canine had no visible injuries.
The Saint Francis Animal Hospital conducted an examination. Based on the attending veterinarian’s exam, the canine was determined to have multiple fractures. According to the veterinarian, these injuries are consistent with blunt force trama. The doctor said the dog was likely kicked to death.

At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no evidence to believe that other animals in the area are in danger.

The Pembroke Pines Police Department is actively investigating this case.
No further information will be released at this time.
