MICHIGAN — Marc Rowe Sr., 45, and his son, Marc Rowe Jr., 19, have been sentenced to prison after they both raped the same underage girl.

The crimes occurred when the female victim was 12. The father sexually assaulted the girl for several months, Inquisitr reported. The son then took over and sexually assaulted her in May of 2014… when she was only 13-year-old.

Most of the abuse took place at the father’s residence, where he “coerced the victim to submit by exerting his authoritative position,” according to an arrest warrant.

The father will serve 22 to 35 years in prison, according to the New York Daily News. His son will serve at least three years. The family members were sentenced just hours apart, MLive reported on Tuesday.

From MLive.com: “Rowe in January pleaded to those felonies, and in exchange, prosecutors dropped two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct against someone under the age of 13, four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, and an additional second-degree charge. The under-13 first-degree charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years in prison, while both first-degree charges carry maximum penalties of life in prison.

Rowe also will be subjected to lifetime electronic monitoring, and he must register under Michigan’s Sex Offender Registry.

About an hour after his father received his sentence, an emotional Rowe Jr. appeared before Beale and pleaded guilty to three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct against someone ages 13 through 15.

His sentence agreement calls for him to receive a three-year minimum sentence and the statutory maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. That three-year minimum sentence is a “downward departure” from Rowe’s state sentencing guidelines, the preliminary scoring of which began at four years and nine months.

Rowe also will have to register under Michigan’s Sex Offender Registry.”
