LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The court has decided that theĀ 36-year-old was acting in self defence after he was assaulted by Joshua Sutter at their home in LA.

Prosecutors have decided not to file charges, instead asking detectives to carry on investigating.

Speaking three days after his arrest, the actor said he was “very sorry”.

He added: “I am very happy to be out of jail and my heart goes out to the Sutter family”.

EARLIER REPORT: Officials have arrested a former red Power Ranger, in connection with fatally stabbing his roommate in their Green Valley home.

36-year-old, Ricardo Medina, Jr. was booked for murder at Palmdale Sheriff’s Station. He was being held in lieu of $1 million.

Sheriff’s deputies said Medina got into an argument that turned into a physical fight with his roommate Joshua Sutter, 36.

Sutter allegedly followed Medina and his girlfriend into their room by forcing the door open. Medina then stabbed Sutter in the abdomen with a sword kept next to the bedroom door.

Medina called 911 and waited for for cops to arrive, TMZ reported.

Sutter was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
