FLASH: NYPD Officer, Church Leader Charged With Raping 16-Year-Old

NEW YORK, New York –BRONX —  A 38-year-old NYPD Officer has been charged with  three counts of rape, three counts of criminal sex act, five counts of sexual misconduct, two counts of third-degree sex abuse and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17, according to ABC7NY.

The suspect, Vladimir Sosa was assigned to the 46th Precinct. He has been suspended without pay.

He and the victim, 16, allegedly attended the same Church where Sosa had a leadership role.

The 46th Precinct is located in the central part of the western Bronx.

The area includes four neighborhoods known as Fordham, University Heights, Morris Heights and Mount Hope.

The commercial strips are along East Fordham Road, Grand Concourse, West Burnside Avenue and Webster Avenue. The precinct consists of both residential and commercial areas.
