NEW YORK — A U.S. citizen will appear in a New York federal court Thursday to face charges of “conspiring to provide material support to terrorists”, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.
According to the Associated Press, Al Farekh and two other suspects planned to become martyrs when they left Canada in 2007.
Muhanad Mahmoud Al Farekh was deported from Pakistan to the United States in connection with a plot to fight against American forces abroad, prosecutors said.
