Broward Sheriff’s Office traffic homicide detectives are investigating a fatal motorcycle incident that left a Miami woman dead April 19.
Around 2:22 p.m. Sunday, BSO deputies and fire rescue personnel responded to a motor vehicle incident along the southbound lanes of US 27, just north of Griffin Road in Weston. The driver, Ernesto Garcia, was traveling southbound on US 27 on a 2008 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic motorcycle when his passenger, Valerie Egues, fell off.
According to a witness, Egues body became limp prior to her falling off the Harley. She was pronounced deceased on scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates there is no evidence of speeding or impairment.
It is unclear if an autopsy has been ordered. The traffic homicide investigation is ongoing.
