A 16-year-old girl who stabbed her mother to death after watching ISIS videos has been jailed for nine years.
Lisa Borch, then aged 15, and her boyfriend Bakhtiar Mohammed Abdulla, aged 29, stabbed her mother at least 20 times in their home in northern Denmark.
Before she stabbed her mother to death, Borch spent hours on the internet watching ISIS videos of decapitations of Alan Henning.
The 16-year-old will now serve nine year in prison, which is the longest sentence handed to a teenager in Denmark.
Borch initially appealed her sentence, saying it was Abdulla’s idea to kill her mother.
Her stepfather told local media that Borch was obsessed with ISIS.
The court heard how Borch became obsessed with radical Islam after she fell in love with an unnamed Muslim.
She soon found a new soulmate in Iraq-born Abdulla, whom she befriended after meeting at a refugee center near her home.
After the murder Borch alerted authorities, police arrived to find the victim’s daughter was discovered sitting on a chair in the living room playing with her iPhone and watching videos on YouTube. When police asked where her mother was, Borch refused to leave her computer and simply pointed upstairs.
