Gun Recovered From Disorderly Man on NYC Subway

NEW YORK — An NYPD Transit officer arrested a man in possession of a loaded handgun inside a Bronx subway station. On Thursday morning, Police Officer Frank Rivera was investigating a disruptive man in the subway station near 161 Street and River Avenue when he began to engage the man in conversation.

As their conversation went on, Officer Rivera observed the man was in possession of a nap sack and was acting disorderly.  After further dialogue and investigation by the officer the unruly man was found to be in possession of a loaded .380 Sig Sauer semi-automatic handgun.

The 51-year-old man was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
