A Florida man who lost half of his head in a car crash has been arrested for attempted murder after setting his mattress on fire.

Carlos Rodriguez  was arrested on Monday after allegedly setting his mattress on fire outside his house at 266 NW 61 Ave.

The 31-year-old was charged with attempted murder because of the bonfire’s proximity to his neighbors’ home.

According to his arrest report, the fire posed ‘an immediate threat to the lives and safety of the occupants’ of the nearby complex.

Rodriguez rose to fame in 2010, when he was arrested for soliciting a prostitute, and his mugshots circulated online.

‘I was barred out on drugs,’ he said, ‘and I was driving and I hit a pole and flew out the front window and landed on my head.’

‘And this is how the old boy has come out. That is why it’s no good drinking and driving or drug-drug- drugness (sic) and driving. No good, kids.’
