NASHVILLE — West Precinct detectives charged William Thomas-Trudo with the murder of his wife, Dr. Sandra Thomas-Trudo, the Chief Epidemiologist for the Metro Health Department.
At 1 p.m. today, William Thomas-Trudo, 44, walked into the West Precinct on Charlotte Pike and said he was there to surrender for the killing of his wife. He was detained as detectives and officers rushed to the couple’s apartment at 527 Belle Meade Boulevard and kicked open the door.
The body of Sandra Thomas-Trudo, 53, was found inside. She appeared to have suffered multiple stab wounds.
William Thomas-Trudo refused to answer detectives’ questions.
The police department’s Domestic Violence Division has no reports of any prior disputes involving the couple.
