NASHVILLE, TENN. – The man fatally injured after falling off a moving tractor-trailer rig at 2 a.m. today in the 400 block of Murfreesboro Pike is identified as Jeremy Green, 39, who was homeless.
The investigation shows that Green was riding between the rig’s two tandem trailers as it turned left from Paris Avenue onto Murfreesboro Pike. Green fell off and was run over.
The truck driver, Maurice Watson, 43, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, is not believed to have known that Green was on the rig or that he fell off.
Witnesses flagged down another truck from the same company and told that driver what had taken place. The company’s dispatcher then contacted Watson, who returned to the scene.
Green was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
