Pemberton Township — Police Officers found the infant burning and quickly doused the flames, but the child suffered severe burns.

The newborn victim still had an umbilical cord and placenta attached.

Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier, 22, of New Jersey, is charged with one count of murder

The Prosecutor says the mother doused her newborn baby with an accelerant and set her on fire.

Court documents say Dorvilier was found with a can of WD-40 and a lighter in her jacket pocket, CBSPhilly reported.

They do not have a motive. The mother was taken into custody Friday night.

The infant has succumbed to its injuries, though further information was not immediately available, according to WPVI.
