Nashville detectives Monday night charged Lenoris Johnson, 31, with criminal homicide for the March 11th fatal shooting of Quiondre Charles Benson, 23, inside an apartment in the 4000 block of Alameda Street.

Jealousy is the apparent motive.

The investigation, being led by Detective Arthur Hipp, shows that Benson was at the apartment visiting a female when a man, subsequently identified as Johnson, forced his way inside, struck the woman in the face, shot Benson and fled. Benson died shortly after arriving at a local hospital.

Johnson was also an acquaintance of the woman. He was taken into custody at his Old Matthews Road residence and is being held without bond pending a hearing.
