New Orleans, LOUISIANA — A Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office employee was found dead outside of her Terrytown home on Monday.
47-year-old Sergeant Tracey Marshall was found shot to death inside of her truck in an apparent ambush.
Police were alerted after a passerby noticed shattered glass Monday morning.
Responding Officers found Marshall dead on the scene with shell casings on the ground. She had been shot multiple times.
According to NOLA.com, Sergeant Marshall was an 11-year veteran who worked at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center.
No arrests have been made. Police have yet to name any suspects or potential motives in the crime.
The investigation is ongoing.
