Today marks the 10th anniversary of retired FBI agent Robert A. “Bob” Levinson’s disappearance on Kish Island, Iran. Bob and the entire Levinson family are remembered every day by his FBI friends and colleagues. The FBI shares in their anguish and resolve to return their husband, father and grandfather to his family and country.

Over the past decade, the FBI and our partners in the United States government have worked tirelessly to bring Bob home, and we continue to pursue every lead collected through interviews, intelligence reporting and contact with foreign governments.

In recent years, representatives of the government of Iran and the United States agreed to cooperate in sharing information which could lead to Bob’s return.

“Bob went missing in Iran,” said FBI Director James B. Comey. “Ten years is an inhumane amount of time to ask a family to wait for word of their loved one. Our ability to reunite Bob with his family is dependent on this shared commitment and we continue to call on the Iranian government to provide assistance.”

The FBI continues to dedicate a team of agents and analysts who, along with our interagency partners, remain steadfast in our mission to locate Bob and return him home where he belongs.

A $5 million reward for information that could lead to Bob Levinson’s safe return remains unclaimed. For more information, to include photographs and reward information, please visit www.fbi.gov/levinson.
