NASHVILLE — Escaped murder suspect Brian T. Williams was apprehended a short time ago hiding behind Greater First Street Missionary Baptist Church in the 1200 block of 9th Avenue North.

Williams escaped from an officer as he was being let out of a police car outside the precinct facility at 12th Avenue South & Wade Avenue.

Williams, 32, ran while handcuffed at 12:45 a.m.

North Precinct officers flooded the 9th & Scovel Street area, as well as a part of nearby Jefferson Street, after citizens reported seeing a suspicious person resembling Williams.

A murder warrant has been issued charging Williams with Monday night’s fatal shooting of Henry Arthur Wilson III, 34, who was killed during a physical confrontation in the parking lot of the Park at Hillside Apartments on Hillside Avenue. -MNPD
