NEW YORK — A newborn baby, with it’s umbilical cord still attached, was found outside of a Church in Queens Tuesday afternoon.
A janitor found the baby at the alter of a Nativity Scene after hearing it crying.
The discovery was made around 12:00 at the Holy Child Jesus Church in Richmond Hill.
Surveillance video shows a woman walking in with the newborn and leaving empty handed.
The boy was taken to Jamaica Hospital and is doing fine.
Acording to WABC, a church is considered a safe haven for drop-offs, but you are supposed to hand the baby off to a responsible person and not leave the child unattended.
