LAS VEGAS — On June 1, 2018 at about 4:04 p.m. LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to a hotel located at 2880 South Las Vegas Boulevard to investigate a report of two people found deceased in one of the guest rooms. Arriving officers located an adult male and adult
female inside one of the rooms deceased from apparent stab wounds.

The investigation initiated by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicated the two people were tourists from Vietnam and had arrived the day before as part of a tour group. The victims did not show up for a tour that was scheduled for the morning of June 1, and one of the members of the tour group was concerned when the victims could not be contacted throughout the day. The concerned party asked for a welfare check later that afternoon, and when security officers entered the room they discovered the victims deceased and contacted police.

Late in the evening of June 6, 2018 the suspect in this case was identified as 31-yearold
Julius Trotter. Detectives with the LVMPD and the Criminal Apprehension Team worked through the night to locate Trotter.
