Va. State Trooper Shot By Partner

ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. — Virginia State Police and the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Department were conducting an investigation when a dog attacked one of the team members during entry into a residence.

An Officer fired their weapon on the dog and one of the rounds struck another team member in the foot.

The Officer was treated and released from the hospital.

An investigation is ongoing.


 

Isle of Wight is an unincorporated community in and the county seat of Isle of Wight County, Virginia, United States. Originally, Isle of Wight County, was named Warrosquyoake Shire.

This was changed to the current name of Isle of Wight in 1637.
