NEW HAMPSHIRE — On Sunday evening, October 11, 2015, Manchester police detectives and Manchester fire fighters responded to 169A Calef Road in Manchester.

They had been asked to respond to a report of a strange odor in the building, which had been detected by members of Sue Hutchinson’s family.

Sue Hutchinson (age 57) has been missing since September 20, 2015.

After searching various areas throughout the building, detectives eventually located a crawl space hidden behind a false wall inside a closet in Sue Hutchinson’s apartment.

They removed the wall panel in that closet and discovered an adult female’s body concealed in the crawl space. Based on all the circumstances, the body is believed to be that of Sue Hutchinson.

Sue Hutchinson’s roommate also went missing in September around the same time she did. That roommate, Stephen Andrade (age 36), killed himself in a motel in Massachusetts on October 6, 2015, Manchester police said.

Based on statements Andrade made shortly before he killed himself, it appears likely that he killed Sue Hutchinson, concealed her body, fled, and then eventually killed himself.

A motive was not released.
