The Modesto police received a distress call on Saturday from an employee responsible for mowing the lawn at Beard Brook Park, who had come across Christine Chavez’s lifeless body in an area he had just cleared. As reported by local TV station AZFamily, a representative from the park’s owning company attributed Chavez’s demise to the worker’s inability to spot her due to her presence in tall grass.
