The Public is being called upon to help the LAPD locate Lena Donabedian who was last seen last Monday at around 2pm on her way home from high school.

Witnesses who have come forward have claimed that Lena entered a light colored, 4-door Sedan containing two Latinos.

The missing girl has brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 135 pounds. Witnesses say that she was last seen wearing khaki colored pants.

Donabedian’s mother, Sosi, expressed her concern for her daughter’s safety saying that she has never run away and is very close with her family.

“She’s with us most of the time, weekends and after school,” she said. “She hardly goes out with friends.”

Lena met a person “in secret” online via Instagram — whom she told friends was her new boyfriend — and the two would chat online at night, said family friend Michael DeWitte of Valley Village. According to her friends, to whom she had showed photos of her new “boyfriend” they recognized him as the passenger in the vehicle of the car that she entered after school on Monday, DeWitte said.

DeWitte added that after the boy showed up to pick her up, Lena said that ‘I’ll be gone for a little bit and then I’ll be home,’ and that was the last we heard from her.”

Her family fear that she is being held against her will. “We’re freaked out,” DeWitte said. “We’re assuming she’s alive and that she’s being held against her will and that she’s not able to reach out and talk to anybody.”

Lena was not in possession of a phone as she entered the car, according to DeWitte.

The LAPD are appealing to anyone who has seen Donabedian or has information on her whereabouts to contact Detective Carlton of LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800.
