A 24-year-old man was charged today with murder for the death of his son at their Los Angeles home, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Hirwin Calderon-Ordonez of Los Angeles faces one felony count each of murder and assault on a child causing death.
Arraignment is scheduled today.
Justin Sontay-Oxlaj, 4, was allegedly beaten to death on June 6, the prosecutor said.
Bail is scheduled at $2 million. Calderon-Ordonez faces a possible maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison.
