UPDATE 12:25PM ET: NYC Mayor says there are a number of missing individuals and there will be a thorough search. The explosion was caused by a gas leak. A call was made to report the leak 15 minutes before the explosion.
UPDATE 11:48AM ET: The FDNY is confirming two fatalities.
UPDATE 10:46AM ET: FDNY has confirmed one fatality at the scene of the explosion and building collapse.
UPDATE 10:25AM ET: FDNY is reporting that 2 five story multiple dwellings have completely cllapsaed. Addresses are 1544 and 1646 Park Ave.

UPDATE 9:50AM ET: FDNY transmitting a 10-60 Code 1 [Major Emergency] with a 3rd alarm for a large explosion in a residential building with a structural collapse and fire. Exposure problems and a large gas leak are reported. Requesting Metro-North train traffic be shut down on Park Ave. EMS has been requested for injuries.
