A man was crushed to death in London’s theater district by a pop-up urinal, according to police.
Firefighters rescued him using a winch after he became trapped under the hydraulic urinal at Cambridge Circus, a busy intersection in West End.
The Metropolitan Police stated that the man died at the scene due to crush injuries sustained while working on the telescopic urinal, despite efforts by emergency services.
The victim’s identity was not disclosed.
The pop-up urinals, found in entertainment districts in London, are stored underground during the day and raised at night.
