LOS ANGELES — A 23-year-old man was sentenced yesterday to 12 years and four months in state prison for attacking his former girlfriend with a machete in Agoura Hills.
Deputy District Attorney Robert DuFour said Travis Anthony Hunter was sentenced after pleading no contest on Oct. 13 to willful injuring of a girlfriend and first-degree burglary with a person present.
On July 18, Hunter broke into his former girlfriend’s residence and attacked her with a machete while she laid in bed, the prosecutor said.
