PITTSBURGH — A SWAT team is responding to a report of a person reportedly armed with a gun and a knife inside a mental health building.
The incident is located at the old Homestead Hospital in the 1800 block of West Street.
A woman outside the building told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that she got a text from her niece, who then said she is inside and is being held hostage.
Emergency services are now staging in the area of West Street, near Turtle Creek Valley Mental.
