TAMPA – A Tampa man was killed after he got into an argument with his roommate over cooked chicken feet, according to police.
The victim, 56-year-old Benjamin Calderon, was cooking chicken feet Saturday evening when 52-year-old James Jugo took one of them, police said.
An argument and fight then ensued.
Officers responded to an unexplained death at the home on 48th Street North shortly after 7 p.m.
Investigators say Jugo admitted to hitting the Calderon with his fists. But a witness said Jugo hit him with a board.
An autopsy showed that Calderon died from blunt force trauma to the head and internal bleeding.
Jugo is charged with manslaughter.
