TORONTO — On Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at approximately 5:50 a.m., officers responded to a stabbing call at 15 Richmond Street East.
Officers arrived and located a 12-year-old boy suffering from obvious injuries.
The victim has been identified as Danai Plain, 12.
Hasadinn Plain, 21, of Toronto, was arrested and has been charged with First Degree Murder
He appeared in court at College Park on Thursday, June 4, 2015.
The boy was taken to hospital via emergency run and was later pronounced in hospital.
The man’s name has not yet been released but police previously described the killing as “a family situation.”
Police say the boy and his relatives were guests at the Cambridge Suites Hotel in the city’s financial district.
TPS Homicide is investigating.
