Man Fatally Stabs Family Member During Argument, No Charges Filed

WASHINGTON — On October 4th, at 3:46PM, officers with the Prince William County Police Department responded to a home located in the 12700 block of Lost Creek Ct in Manassas to investigate a stabbing.

The investigation revealed that a 48 year old man of Manassas was stabbed by a family member, identified as a 25 year old man of Manassas, following a domestic altercation inside the residence.

The victim was pronounced dead at the home. All witnesses remained at the scene and were identified.

Today, detectives from the Homicide Unit reviewed the final autopsy results and investigative details in the October 4th incident.

As a result, Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul Ebert determined that the circumstances surrounding this incident and subsequent death were deemed self-defense and that the final finding of this homicide was justified.

Police didn’t release a motive for the stabbing.
