SYRACUSE, NEW YORK – John G. Stroming, age 60, of Stuyvesant, New York, was found guilty today of sexual exploitation of a child following a 2-day jury trial.
The evidence at trial showed that Stroming video-recorded himself sexually abusing a 19-month-old child and that he also possessed child pornography involving other children. At the time of the crimes, Stroming was required to register as a sex offender. He has sex offense convictions including rape in the second degree (2011) and promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child (1999).
Sentencing is set for September 9, 2019
