Authorities say high winds may be a factor in the apparent collapse of a construction shed that hurt four people in midtown Manhattan.

The Fire Department says three civilians were taken to Bellevue Hospital following the incident on Friday morning. Their conditions were not immediately known. A firefighter was taken to Roosevelt Hospital with minor injuries.

CBS New York says three southbound lanes were closed on Seventh Avenue at West 40th Street.

The Department of Buildings issued a warning to property owners Friday to secure construction sites and buildings as high winds whip through the area.
