ROCKVILLE, Maryland — According to police, 38-yer-old Joey Poindexter frequented bars and parties and played beer pong as he searched for young men he would later sexually assault, sometimes while the victims were unconscious.
According to police, 38-year-old Joey Poindexter frequented bars and played ‘beer pong’ as he searched for young men he would later sexually assault, sometimes while the victims were unconscious.
Police initially thought there were only a few victims, now believe there are 30 or more victims dating back to 2011.
The serial sex predator, known as the ‘Beer Pong Rapist,’ was convicted of five counts but more charges are likely to come.
From CBS Baltimore:
– According to charging documents, obtained by WJZ: “Poindexter then bought a round of ‘Long Island Iced Tea’ and [victim] consumed it. [Victim] has no memory of the rest of the evening after consuming the Long Island Iced Tea.”
The next morning, the victim woke up at Poindexter’s home and says: “[Victim] observed his clothing on the floor and he was now wearing a pair of Poindexter’s black Nike ‘Jordan’ basketball style shorts.”
The victim later wore a wire. Poindexter’s response: “If it makes you feel any better, I don’t have any [expletive] AIDS, if anything did happen.” –
An investigation is ongoing.
