Metro Nashville Police Looking For Gunman In ‘Random Fatal Shooting’

NASHVILLE, TENN. — The innocent man fatally wounded at 10 p.m. Friday while looking out the door of his apartment in Edgehill Homes is identified as Glen Young, 59.

The investigation shows that Young was inside his apartment in the 1100 block of Horton Avenue watching television when he heard gunshots being fired in the courtyard near his residence. When Young opened the door to look outside, he was hit in the chest by a bullet. Young was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

The gunman is described as a black man in his mid-20s who is approximately 5’8” tall and has a thin build. He was wearing a white shirt and dark shorts. Detectives strongly believe that there are those in the community who have identifying information about the gunman.
