The parents of the dead teen have been invited to speak to the United Nations next month, although it is unclear by whom. They plan to submit a briefing stating that the killing of their son violated the U.N. Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
The unarmed teenager was shot and killed by a Ferguson police officer this past summer, sparking long-led protests across the city. The Officer, Darren Wilson has yet to be charged in the case.
